We have provided you with a few do’s and don’ts to ensure your product not only looks great but offers you that longevity that stainless steel is famous for.

Stainless steels are very rust resistant, however this does not mean that they are impervious to it. Stainless steel will rust, and must be kept clean and free from contaminants,

Please do:

Clean your stainless on a day to day basis with plenty of water and a mild detergent with a soft cloth. Rinse with clean water and wipe the surface dry.

Occasionally give your stainless a deep clean with some methylated spirits. Simply wipe on in even strokes, rinse with clean water and dry. Follow up with a light rub of olive oil, then polish with a dry soft cloth. This is our favorite clean and if you like your stainless looking as sexy as the day you bought it, do this one at the end of a busy month.

If you notice staining ( rust, tea, coffee ) it is recommended to use a stainless cleaner such as phosphoric acid solution (handle with care) Then rinse with clean water and dry. Finish off with a light rub of olive oil. Polish and dry with a dry soft cloth.

Please don’t:

Use bleach

Use steel wool brushes or scourers

Use hydrochloric acid

Scrub against the grain of the steel

Use water with high iron content ( generally bore water)
